This is a very specific sort of commissioned work. Meaning, I've never made something that was so tailored to the recipient, were literally every mark had to be carefully executed in a certain way.

This was made by request of a retired Army soldier's wife. She provided me with all the collage material she wanted to go into this very special work. The finished piece is meant to outline some of her husband's story from his time in Somalia and the encounter he had with a child he named Abraham. The black strike through in the tags is to respect the soldier's identity.
